Job summary

Cepeda is seeking a motivated, detail‑oriented Junior Software Test Engineer to join our team onsite at the U.S. Army DEVCOM AvMC at Redstone Arsenal.

You will support evaluation and verification of critical defense software systems and collaborate with senior engineers to execute test plans and identify defects. Plan, develop, and execute test cases for web applications, APIs, and databases; perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing in Agile environments; document results

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree inEngineering/CS or related field; 4 years experience may substitute for degree.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to think critically.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to work in fast-paced, collaborative environments.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and execute test cases for web applications, APIs, and database components.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and system-level testing in Agile environments.
• Document test results, track defects, and verify resolutions with developers.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to process improvements.
• Validate data integrity with Microsoft SQL and verify cross-system data flows.
• Support test automation initiatives where applicable.
