Job summary

SPECTRAFORCE in Tucson, AZ is seeking an Associate Systems Engineer - Software to drive software product definition, requirements, risk analysis, and testing to meet IVD standards in cancer diagnostics.

You will collaborate with R&D, Marketing, Operations, Quality, and Regulatory teams; manage software requirements and verification/validation; and contribute to cutting-edge testing automation across global instruments. The role is a 12-month engagement at a client site in Tucson.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Biomedical Sciences, or related technical field.
Experience with software requirements engineering and risk analysis.
Familiarity with FDA/ISO and diagnostic product standards.

Responsibilities

System lifecycle: apply systems engineering to SW product definition, requirements, risk analysis, and testing.
Project execution: manage software requirements, risk analysis, configuration, defects, and verification/validation.
Industry/technology analysis: research trends, technologies, and competitive software products.
Cross-functional collaboration: coordinate with R&D, Marketing, Operations, Quality, and Regulatory.
Customer-focused innovation: engage with leaders and VoC to align solutions with customer needs.
Technical problem solving: analyze complex challenges and present actionable solutions.
