Job summary

BEPC Inc. is seeking an Associate Software Systems Engineer to support the development of cancer diagnostic technologies in Tucson, AZ.

This role focuses on software systems engineering, requirements development, system architecture, risk management, and software verification and validation for IVD products. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of relevant experience, strong understanding of software integration and testing, and familiarity with regulated medical device environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
• 1–2 years engineering experience.
• Knowledge of software integration, testing, and requirements engineering.
• Understanding of systems engineering principles and SDLCs.
• Familiarity with FDA/ISO and diagnostic product standards.
• Experience in regulated environments and defect tracking.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Apply systems engineering principles throughout the software product development lifecycle.
• Develop, analyze, and manage software and system requirements.
• Support system architecture design and implementation of software solutions.
• Perform risk analysis, tradeoff analysis, and configuration management.
• Support software integration, verification, and validation (V&V) activities.
• Track and manage software defects and technical issues.
• Ensure software solutions align with applicable FDA, ISO, and IVD regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with R&D, Marketing, Operations, Quality, and Regulatory teams.
• Translate customer needs into technical requirements with stakeholders.
