Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Software Quality & Testing Engineer in Michigan to elevate embedded software quality. You will collaborate with product owners, developers, and testers using Agile and BDD to design and run behavior tests for GM’s next generation controllers.

You will develop test cases, automate testing, and execute plans across hardware/software-in-the-loop environments, working with cross-functional teams. Hybrid work arrangement in Southeast Michigan is required.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechatronics, Software, Electrical, or Computer Engineering.
• Graduating December 2026 through June 2027.
• Able to work in Southeast Michigan and full-time (40 hours/week).
• Experience with Agile and test-driven development is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop test cases for software products at solution, system, and feature levels.
• Build robust automation methods using test frameworks.
• Define and implement test plans for various hardware/software-in-the-loop environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish acceptance criteria and resolve issues.
