Job summary

Polluxa, Inc. seeks an entry-level Software Developer to join our New York team. You will contribute to developing, testing, and maintaining software across platforms, gaining hands-on experience with modern practices, cloud infrastructure, and scalable designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Fundamental understanding of Java, Python, C++, or C.
• Basic web tech: HTML/CSS, JavaScript, React/Angular.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, SQL databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL), and AWS.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum is a plus.
• Knowledge of scalable system design and microservices is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement new software features using Java, Python, Ruby on Rails, and JavaScript frameworks like React and Express.
• Assist in building scalable systems and microservices architectures for web and app development.
• Contribute to RESTful APIs and third‑party service integrations.
• Participate in Agile processes including sprint planning, stand‑ups, and code reviews.
• Write clean, efficient code following established design patterns and best practices.
• Support version control workflows using GitHub, SVN, or Git.
• Help implement CI/CD pipelines on AWS cloud infrastructure.
