Qualifications

• US Citizen with an active Top Secret Security Clearance.
• 0-2 years of professional software development, IT engineering, or cybersecurity experience.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, PowerShell, Java, Go, or JavaScript.
• Comfort with Linux CLI and basic system administration concepts.
• Familiarity with Git and code review workflows.
• Ability to work with structured data formats (JSON/XML/CSV) and basic regex.
• Foundational cybersecurity and SIEM concepts; willingness to learn Splunk SPL.

Responsibilities

• Write, test, and maintain scripts and small applications to automate Splunk tasks.
• Onboard new log sources, configure inputs, forwarders, and CIM normalization under guidance.
• Develop and maintain SPL searches, dashboards, reports, and alerts for security and ops use cases.
• Collaborate with senior engineers in code reviews, testing, and deployment workflows.
• Provide documentation, runbooks, and knowledge articles; support incident response and audits.
