Job summary

The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) seeks a Junior Software Engineer to help develop radar, electronic warfare, and communication technologies for national defense. You will join the Sensor Modeling and Realtime Software Section and collaborate with government laboratories and industry experts to push sensing technologies forward.

Your work includes architecting applications, processing algorithms, embedded software, and UI development, contributing across multiple

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
  • 3 years of experience in software development/engineering, preferably with OO programming.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in teams to architect and develop innovative applications including signal processing, control software, UIs, and embedded applications.
  • Work in diverse teams to build new applications and algorithms.
  • Participate in full software life cycle: requirements, design, development, integration, testing.
  • Research and experiment with new programming technologies and applications for software.
  • Collaborate with experts to solve complex multi-disciplinary challenges.
