Job summary

Massachusetts Financial Services Company (MFS) in Boston offers a 6-month co-op in which undergraduate students work Monday–Friday (January 13 through June 25, 2027) 35–40 hours weekly to support LCERM software initiatives. You will analyze requirements, build data pipelines, and enhance multi-tiered code under supervision.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in CS/MIS/Finance, strong problem-solving skills, and experience with SQL, Java, and Python, plus exposure to Power Apps or React.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, MIS or Finance.
• Strong technical acumen, analytical and problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills.
• Skills in one or more programming languages: SQL, JAVA, Python, Power Apps or React.
• Ability to work across boundaries, building cross-organizational relationships.
• Strong desire to expand your skills through self-study, hands-on learning, and formal instruction.
• Strong interpersonal, communication (both written and oral) & analytical skills; must be team-oriented and deadline-driven.

Responsibilities

• Interprets business requirements, analyzes environment, maps requirements to design, codes, debugs, unit tests programs to deliver final product.
• Experience with building custom applications, business analytics tools and their integration using AI tools.
• Configures and customizes Cloud-Based third-party vendor applications.
• Documents code and processes to aid in system support
• Keeps technical skills current, well-versed in several areas of technology.
• Collaborates with other IT and business groups and readily shares information to resolve problems.
