USAA in the Investments Experience Technology group seeks a Junior Software Engineer to join a startup-minded team. You will contribute to the design and implementation of scalable investment solutions using Go, Java, APIs, OpenShift, and related technologies, in an agile, fast-paced environment.

You will work across the software lifecycle, create tests, and collaborate with a strong team to deliver high-quality software that supports members and financial advisors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; alternative coding certs accepted.
• Software development experience with Java or Python.
• Foundational understanding of cloud technologies and SDLC basics.
• Ability to clearly articulate technical challenges and solutions.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, design, develop, code, and test technical solutions.
• Write code to deliver features and improvements regularly.
• Investigate and resolve production issues via debugging.
• Improve application stability and scalability over time.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Develop and enhance automated tests and code quality.
