Baltimore Orioles is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to join the Baseball Systems team in Baltimore, MD. You will help develop and operate internal software systems for player evaluation and development, integrating data sources and video into a centralized data source.

You’ll work with Baseball Operations staff to translate requirements into scalable software, implement best practices, and support cloud-based infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• Experience with Python, Java, C++, Ruby, JavaScript or similar languages.
• Experience leading all phases of the software development lifecycle.
• Experience integrating multiple data sources into a single application.
• Willingness to work non-traditional hours.

Responsabilités

• Develop plans for software projects with the Baseball Systems team.
• Document user requirements and business processes.
• Write clear, efficient code following industry standards.
• Design and develop routines to integrate external data and compute advanced statistics.
• Support maintenance of internal SQL Server databases.
• Iteratively roll out software and improve the cloud ecosystem.
