Job summary

i3 is seeking a Software Engineer with 0-3 years of professional experience to help develop cutting edge command and control (C2) and autonomy software for uncrewed platforms including planes, boats, vehicles, and submersibles.

This team is building a web-based user interface to autonomously task these UxS platforms. The role supports an Agile DoD project with emphasis on safety, testing, and configuration management, located in Huntsville, AL.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• 0-3 years of professional experience required.
• ABET preferred or equivalent degree.
• Team player who is creative, adaptive and eager to learn.
• Ability to develop software designs using OO methodologies.
• Ability to develop automated unit and integration tests.
• Familiar with configuration management practices and proper code maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Work with an Agile software team delivering value to a DoD customer in small, incremental iterations.
• Adhere to pre-defined software safety practices for flight-critical software including architecture reviews and testing.
• Develop software designs using object-oriented methods.
• Create automated unit and integration tests.
• Maintain proper configuration management and code maintenance across the project.
• Other duties as assigned.
