Job summary

Porters on the Lane in Bellport, NY, is seeking a Junior Software Engineer for a fully remote role. You will assist in designing, developing, and maintaining back-end web applications and internal tools.

Qualifications

Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Junior Software Engineer. The Junior Software Engineer will assist in designing, developing, and maintaining back-end web applications and internal software tools. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean, efficient code, troubleshooting and fixing bugs, participating in code reviews, and collaborating with senior engineers on technical design and implementation. The role also involves working with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, documenting technical work, and learning new technologies and best practices to support ongoing projects.

Qualifications

• Strong foundational knowledge in Computer Science and Software Development.
• Proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
• Basic experience or coursework in Back-End Web Development.
