Job summary

Boeing Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A) is seeking an entry-level Software Engineer to develop, maintain, and enhance diverse software systems. The role includes RF signal processing applications, real-time and analytics work, and system-wide integration across hardware platforms.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Computer Science (or related) or have 4+ years of SWE experience in lieu of a degree, with TS/SCI clearance preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline is required.
  • No demonstrated experience is required; 4 years of SWE experience may substitute for the degree.
  • Experience with RF signal processing and Linux development is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Developing, maintaining, and enhancing complex software systems based on documented requirements.
  • Contributing to cutting edge development programs and designing new solutions.
  • Innovating RF signal processing applications.

Job description

As a Software Engineer - Entry Level at Boeing Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A), you will be responsible for:



  • Developing, maintaining, and enhancing complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements

  • Contributing to cutting edge development programs and designing new solutions

  • Innovating RF signal processing applications

  • Developing analytics, visualization and discovery tools

  • Integrating new and legacy software across a variety of hardware form factors

  • Reviewing and testing software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results. Resolves software problem reports.

  • Providing specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components

Experience and Qualifications:


To be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications:


Required Education and Years of Experience:



  • No demonstrated experience is required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required

  • Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree


Required Qualifications:



  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph Clearance

  • Demonstrated experience with RF signal processing applications

  • Proficiency working in Linux development environments


Desired Qualifications



  • Experience with Software-Defined Radio (SDR) programming

  • Experience with geospatial processing

  • Experience coding 2D and 3D image displays

  • Experience with GitLab, GitHub, or similar version control tools

  • Experience with Jira/Confluence or similar project management tools

Summary Pay Range:


Please note that the information shown below is a general guideline only. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.


$89,500 - $111,500


Sign-on Bonus up to $10,000 for eligible/qualified candidates
