Job summary

Boeing Intelligence & Analytics in Annapolis Junction, MD is seeking a mid-level Software Engineer to develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems, including analytics, data processing, and real-time components. You will help design new solutions, integrate software across hardware platforms, and review code against requirements.

Qualified candidates will have seven years of SWE experience, a CS degree, and an active TS/SCI with polygraph.

Qualifications

  • Seven years of SWE experience in small- to mid-sized development teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline is required.
  • Four additional SWE years of experience may substitute for a Bachelor's degree.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.

  • Developing, maintaining, and enhancing complex software systems based on documented requirements.
  • Contributing to cutting edge development programs and designing new solutions.
  • Innovating RF signal processing applications.
  • Developing analytics, visualization and discovery tools.

Why This Is An Exciting Role

As a Software Engineer - Mid Level at Boeing Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A), you will be responsible for:

  • Developing, maintaining, and enhancing complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements
  • Contributing to cutting edge development programs and designing new solutions
  • Innovating RF signal processing applications
  • Developing analytics, visualization and discovery tools
  • Integrating new and legacy software across a variety of hardware form factors
  • Reviewing and testing software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results. Resolves software problem reports.
  • Providing specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components

Experience And Qualifications
Required Education And Years Of Experience
  • Seven (7) years of experience as a SWE in small-scale (5-20 member) and medium-scale (20-100 member) development teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required
  • Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree
Required Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph Clearance
  • Demonstrated experience with RF signal processing applications
  • Proficiency working in Linux development environments
  • Proficiency coding in Python, C++, Java, or JavaScript
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Software-Defined Radio (SDR) programming
  • Experience with geospatial processing
  • Experience coding 2D and 3D image displays
  • Experience with GitLab, GitHub, or similar version control tools
  • Experience with Jira/Confluence or similar project management tools

Summary Pay Range:

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
