Job summary

AMEWAS in California and Maryland is seeking a Software Developer (WSCE)-Junior to support Battlespace Modeling & Simulation. The role offers a salary range of $87,100.00 - $115,800.00 and requires on-site work at CA/MD locations.

You will develop software for an advanced synthetic training environment, integrate with flight simulators, and contribute to DevOps activities using C/C++, CMake, Bash, and Python. A BS in CS/CE is required, with DoD security eligibility to apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering; accredited program recognized by US DoE
• Experience with software development using C/C++, CMake and/or scripting languages (Bash, Python 3)
• Familiarity with scaled agile software development tools and environments (Git, Jira)
• Security clearance eligibility required (DoD context)

Responsibilities

• Develops software for an advanced synthetic training environment
• Integrates software into flight simulators to support pilot training
• Supports software development, integration, training and demonstrations
• Demonstrates knowledge of algorithms, design patterns and OO software design
• Works within DevOps environment (builds, tests, deployment across OS)
• Evaluates C/C++ code and develops software with parallel processing and real-time simulation
• Collaborates with team on future enhancements
• Integrates third-party models of weapons into fleet training products
