Job summary

ManTech seeks a motivated Junior Software Developer to join our team in St Inigoes, MD. This onsite role supports Navy combat identification systems and IFF interfaces, with duties across design, development, integration, and fielded software maintenance.

Qualifications include a BS in CS/SE/CE/Math, 1+ year of software development, experience with C/C++ and Java, and familiarity with Agile processes. Preferred: Linux, Wireshark, Eclipse, SVN, and the ability to obtain/maintain a Secret

Job description

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career customer-oriented Junior Software Developer to join our team in St Inigoes, MD. This is an Onsite position.

You will work on an integrated development team through all phases of the software development life cycle, contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of fielded and future Navy combat identification systems and IFF interfaces.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

• Conducting innovative software development solutions for various Navy identification systems
• Executing scientific, engineering, and technical services required for the design, development, integration, and testing of combat systems
• Analyzing technology and capability gaps to research, develop, and deploy software solutions
• Collaborating with other developers and project leads to design, optimize, and define associated deliverables
• Conducting integration, testing, bug fixes, and other software maintenance activities.
• Assisting in the creation of technical documentation and user guides in support of developed software

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• 1+ years of experience in software development
• Applied experience with C/C++ and Java
• Experience working in an agile development environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Applied experience programming in a Linux environment
• Experience using Wireshark and Eclipse IDE for development
• Experience using SVN for source code configuration management

Clearance Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen and possess a current or active Secret Security Clearance

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time.
• Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, computer printer, and copy machine.
• Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel.
