A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, or four years of progressively technical hands-on experience. An appropriate combination of education and experience demonstrating knowledge and skills equivalent to the above is also acceptable.
General working knowledge and experience in programming applications, writing scripts/job control statements, and familiarity with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL concepts, as well as relational database concepts.
Experience with Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) is required.
Additional skills that are a plus include knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Shell Scripting, and experience with Application Server and middleware technologies.
Ability to learn MCCS policies regarding Software Development Lifecycle procedures, approvals, and documentation. Must be able to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and possess strong communication, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
As an authorized user of Department of Defense Information Systems, candidates must obtain Security+ Certification within six months of employment and complete annual Information Assurance awareness training thereafter.
