Job summary

DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking a Junior Software Developer to support development, maintenance, and enhancement of mission-critical software applications while working alongside experienced developers and technical teams.

This position is hybrid and requires on-site support at Scott AFB, IL. The candidate will write clean code, participate in reviews, and help maintain .NET apps under senior guidance, with a path toward expanding skills in Java, AWS, Oracle, and GIS-related work.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance required.
• 0–2 years of relevant programming experience.
• Security+ certification within 60 days of hire date required.

Responsibilities

• Write clean, maintainable code using object-oriented design patterns and SOLID principles.
• Participate in code reviews, submitting work for review and reviewing others' code.
• Support and maintain legacy .NET Framework applications under the direction of seniors.
• Contribute to scoped portions of the application design process.
• Assist in triaging production issues alongside senior developers and DevOps.
• Document assigned work and communicate status clearly to a cross-functional development team.
• Build working knowledge of the program's technology stack and the Agile process.
• Stay current on programming techniques and software technologies.
