Overview

SimVentions, consistently voted one of Virginia’s Best Places to Work, is seeking a Software Developer (3–5 years experience) to support a new and emerging Navy tactical system that integrates with the full suite of combat sensors. This fully on-site role in Dahlgren, VA, requires a Secret clearance and offers the opportunity to work with a collaborative team focused on developing and modernizing cutting-edge electronic warfare (EW) systems. Ideal candidates will have experience with MATLAB and Python, and a strong desire to contribute to impactful national defense technology.

Clearance

An ACTIVE Secret Clearance is required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance.

Requirements
  • 3-5 years of professional experience
  • Experience programming in Python

  • Basic familiarity with MATLAB

  • Ability to work within the Navy’s CSDE environment

  • Willingness to follow team coding standards

  • Commitment to maintaining high technical quality and accuracy

Responsibilities
  • The Software Engineer will provide support for a new, high-visibility Naval information system that integrates with EW sensors.
    • Develop Python unclassified/sensitive programs and functions in support of multiple PMAG projects
    • Configuration management via Navy CSDE including GIT and JIRA
Compensation

Compensation at SimVentions is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, skills, knowledge, and competencies, as well as alignment with our corporate compensation plan and contract specific requirements.

The projected annual compensation range for this position is $79,000 - $120,000 (USD). This estimate reflects the standard salary range for this position and is just one component of the total compensation package that SimVentions offers.
