Job description

CAC I is seeking a Junior Software Developer in the Springfield, VA area.

Responsibilities include leading portions of projects, interpreting system requirements, performing low to medium complexity development, maintenance, and improvement tasks such as:

1. Participating in Agile ceremonies (e.g., Scrum, Sprint Planning, Review, Retrospective) and supporting the creation, maintenance, and delivery of Contract Deliverables (CDRLs 001-017).
2. Developing customized web applications using front-end frameworks like React and Angular.
3. Building back-end infrastructure with Java or Python.
4. Managing PostgreSQL database development and maintenance.
5. Configuring and supporting SOLR or Elastic File Search systems.
6. Creating and managing AWS S3 buckets for web application support.
7. Utilizing containerization tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
8. Managing application deployment via GitLab CI/CD.

Qualifications include:

• Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of IT experience (1 year with a Master's).
• Experience in systems implementation, change management, or business process redesign, and support for information systems and databases.
• Experience with OpenShift, DevOps, Alfresco, Node.js, React, Java, Python, GitLab, Jira, Confluence, AWS/C2S, ODS S3, PostgreSQL/MySQL.
• Ability to architect and manage IT systems.
• Security clearance: TS/SCI with CI Polygraph.
• Ability to obtain a Security+ certification within 90 days.

Salary Range: $57,500 - $117,900, influenced by location, experience, skills, and certifications.
