Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company, is seeking an entry-level Cybersecurity Analyst to monitor security events and respond to incidents within the DHMS program.

You will work with IT, operations, compliance, and risk management teams to enforce security policies, analyze alerts, and maintain documentation while ensuring data confidentiality, integrity, and availability. U.S. citizenship and current Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IT, or related field.
• 0–3 years experience in cybersecurity or IT security activities.
• Foundational knowledge of cybersecurity principles and attack methods.
• Ability to follow incident response procedures and escalate when needed.
• Current U.S. Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship.
• Strong analytical and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor SIEM queues and alerts from firewalls and IDS/IPS to identify suspicious activity.
• Perform initial alert triage by evaluating severity and supporting evidence.
• Review logs to identify patterns and establish incident scope and timelines.
• Follow incident response playbooks and escalate findings with evidence.
• Assist senior analysts with security assessments and mitigation documentation.
• Maintain incident records with disposition and sensitive-data handling.
