The Hartford is seeking an Associate Underwriter as part of its 14-week hybrid Small Business Underwriter onboarding program. You will work with our underwriting team to serve small business owners, learning to develop and price risks across BOP, Commercial Auto, Workers’ Compensation and Umbrella lines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• Strong sales and negotiation skills.

• Willingness to travel approximately 10%.

Responsabilités

• Support small business underwriting across BOP, commercial auto, workers' compensation and umbrella.
• Develop and price risks, analyze loss and risk information, and flag inconsistencies to write profitable commercial business.
• Partner with sales reps to achieve profit and growth objectives.
• Build relationships with agents to win new accounts and drive results.
