Job summary

LECOM is seeking an entry level Maintenance Technician to join the skilled maintenance team, learning and contributing across trades including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC. You will support the Director of Facilities, address safety concerns, and help maintain facilities for students, faculty staff and the public.

Responsibilities include assisting with project work orders, coordinating with trades, inspecting systems for safety, and documenting repairs.

Qualifications

• Must possess knowledge to perform essential functions per job scope.
• Ability to train and guide other skilled maintenance workers.
• Knowledge of safety practices, OSHA guidelines and building trades.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with site personnel and other trades to coordinate work assignments.
• Inspects facilities and systems to ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Installs and maintains building components (cabinetry, doors, hardware, windows, etc.).
• Maintains tools and equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Prepares repair records, work orders and requisitions.
