Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician I/II to diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and facility systems. You will perform advanced preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production support equipment and lead repairs and small improvement projects.

You will train junior staff, interpret blueprints and manuals, coordinate contractors, and maintain thorough equipment records while promoting safety and continuous improvement across locations.

Qualifications

• Reading and speaking proficiency in English or Spanish.
• High School Diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• 5+ years of commercial, industrial, manufacturing, or facilities maintenance experience preferred.
• Trade school, apprenticeship, technical certification, or advanced training in a maintenance-related field preferred.
• Experience with fabrication machinery, robotic machinery, painting systems, welding machines, refrigeration/HVAC, electrical/control systems, hydraulics, or pneumatics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, plumbing, hydraulic, pneumatic, and HVAC systems within facilities and production environments.
• Perform advanced preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on facility and production support equipment.
• Lead difficult repairs, equipment recovery efforts, and small maintenance improvement projects.
• Serve as a technical resource for Maintenance Technicians I and II and provide hands-on training and coaching.
• Analyze recurring failures, determine root causes, and recommend permanent corrective actions.
• Coordinate work with the Maintenance Lead and Manager, scope jobs, and identify parts.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, equipment manuals, and manufacturer specifications.
• Coordinate contractors, verify work quality, and communicate deficiencies.
• Support equipment installations, facility upfits, commissioning, and turnover to operations.
