Job summary

The Rinks Foundation is hiring a Junior Skating Instructor to help grow the sport across Orange County facilities. You will engage learners across Learn-to-Skate, roller, and on-ice programs, delivering energy, safety, and clear instruction to a growing clientele.

Ideal candidates are at least 16, with skating experience and current LTS USA membership or willingness to obtain it, and you’ll collaborate with coaches, parents, and operations staff to promote excellence in figure skating and

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Experience in figure skating, roller skating, or off-ice discipline.
• Knowledge of US figure skating programs and coaching standards.
• Active pursuit of educational opportunities within the sport.
• For Junior on-ice instructors: LTS USA Instructor Membership requirements.
• Ability to lead classes with energy and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist with instruction of group skating classes.
• Follow Learn-to-Skate USA and related curricula.
• Assist in production and promotion of facility shows and competitions.
• Provide constructive feedback to skaters.
• Maintain professional communication with parents and staff.
• Meet company standards and instructor guidelines.
• Interact with customers in a welcoming manner.
• Support skating instructors and suggest skater progression.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
