Job summary

Dewberry is seeking an Entry Level Site/Civil Engineer to join our Charlotte, NC office in the Site/Civil Department, working on a variety of projects for private and municipal clients. The role offers a path to develop design skills across commercial, residential, education, and community facilities.

Ideal candidates hold a B.S. in Civil Engineering, have internship experience, and are familiar with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office. Relocation assistance is available for this position.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering is required.
• Previous internship experience is desired.
• EIT is strongly preferred.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office is required.
• Experience with Water CAD and Storm CAD is a plus.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Site/civil development including grading, roadway, stormwater design, and erosion control.
• Prepare calculations, reports, and spreadsheets.
• Work on design teams to develop construction-ready design documents.
• May conduct code research, write specifications, and obtain permits.
