Job summary

Autowash Car Washes is seeking a Junior Service Technician to support field operations across multiple sites. You will independently resolve low-to-mid level site repairs, perform preventive maintenance, calibrate water systems, and help maintain equipment reliability to meet uptime goals.

You’ll document service tickets in MaintainX, communicate with Operations and warehouse teams, and participate in safety and SOP certification programs as you grow toward Senior Technician status through

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in maintenance, industrial, or mechanical field; prior car wash experience preferred but not required.
• Mechanical/electrical aptitude; familiar with wiring, pneumatics, hydraulics, and water systems.
• Certifications in Autowash maintenance and chemical safety.

Responsibilities

• Independently resolve low-to-mid level site repairs involving pumps, motors, sensors, and basic controls.
• Use diagnostic tools and software to identify mechanical or electrical issues; escalate as needed to Senior Technicians.
• Record service tickets in MaintainX with complete descriptions, parts used, and resolution notes; coordinate with Operations and warehouse teams.
• Shadow Senior Technicians and participate in safety, chemical handling, and SOP certification programs to grow toward Senior Technician status.

Junior Service Technicians at Autowash are early-career professionals who have proven they can work independently, troubleshoot common issues, and maintain equipment reliability across our sites. You’re no longer a trainee — you’re trusted to close out routine service tickets, support site uptime, and represent the service team with professionalism.

This role builds the foundation for growth into Senior Technician status, with continued mentorship and increasingly complex responsibilities over time.

Primary Responsibilities

• Site-Level Repairs
  • Independently resolve low to mid-level service tickets involving pumps, motors, sensors, and basic controls.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and report long-term issues or site trends.
  • Calibrate chemical flow rates and adjust water systems to meet standard performance metrics.
• Problem Solving & Troubleshooting
  • Use diagnostic tools and software to identify mechanical or electrical issues.
  • Communicate directly with Operations staff to understand symptoms and define next steps.
  • Escalate complex issues and assist Senior Technicians with major repairs or installations.
• Documentation & Communication
  • Record service tickets in MaintainX with complete descriptions, parts used, and resolution notes.
  • Track recurring issues and notify management of patterns that may impact uptime.
  • Communicate with warehouse and parts team to ensure accurate tools and inventory.
• Training & Development
  • Continue developing expertise across multiple car wash systems and site types.
  • Shadow Senior Technicians for high-level repairs or system upgrades.
  • Participate in safety, chemical handling, and SOP certification programs.

Requirements

• Experience: 1–3 years in a maintenance, industrial, or mechanical field. Prior car wash experience preferred but not required.
• Skills:

  • Familiar with wiring, pneumatics, hydraulics, and water systems
  • Strong documentation and communication habits
• Certifications: Will complete or already hold Autowash maintenance and chemical safety certifications.
• Attitude: Reliable, solutions-focused, and coachable with a desire to grow into Senior Technician status.
