Kastle Systems is seeking a Jr. Security Engineer to assist with security design and deployments in the Sterling, VA area. You will work on access control, CCTV, and related equipment while coordinating with installation teams and clients.

The role emphasizes learning, hands-on field work, and growth in electronic security technologies such as ACS and IDS under guidance from senior engineers.

Qualifications

• Engineering or related degree, or equivalent industry experience.
• Experience in design and planning of MEP systems.
• Ability to perform load calculations for power, data, and HVAC.
• Strong organizational and detail-oriented work style.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office; knowledge of AutoCAD or Revit is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review architectural electrical security floor plans and drawings.
• Design and implement solutions for system installations and upgrades.
• Support RFI/RFP responses with technical input.
• Create design docs, BOMs, permits, and summaries.
• Learn current electronic security tech including ACS, IDS, CCTV.
• On-the-job training with field teams to understand requirements.
