Job summary

Canon Recruiting Group is seeking a Scientist I to support engineering and biology projects at Arbor Lakes, MN. The role involves executing experiments, data analysis, and documentation for a 12-month assignment, starting with a pay rate of $37 per hour, paid weekly, and a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

You will work in a team, develop methods, and contribute to reports and posters while learning core business practices and quality processes in a medical device setting.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Biology or Chemistry (or related field).
• 2+ years of medical device experience.
• Self-motivation with a problem-solving mindset.
• Hands-on approach to method development and data analysis.
• Strong communication, writing, and multitasking abilities.
• Able to manage multiple projects in a timeline-driven environment.
• Team player with good interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat.
• Experience documenting tests via lab notebooks or reports.

Responsibilities

• Remains knowledgeable of technologies and relevant literature in the area.
• Supports testing of new technologies and targets for research.
• Generates data to support posters, presentations, and reports.
• Respects legal boundaries for information sharing and documentation.
• Under direction, executes experiments and DOE protocols; performs routine work independently.
• Applies basic data analysis and compares results with historical data.
• Summarizes results and contributes to technical reports and lab notebooks.
• Develops methods under supervision and participates in experimental execution.
• Performs routine experimental techniques and processes per SOP.
• Orders supplies and submits sample requests as directed.
• May perform equipment IQ/OQ and basic maintenance.
• Follows EH&S procedures and site/department record-keeping practices.
