Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related business.
• Successful completion of core accounting and finance courses is expected.
• 1–3 years of Commercial Credit Analysis experience is preferred.
• Intermediate Excel skills and ability to learn banking software.

Responsibilities

• Financial Spreading & Analysis: Inputs and analyzes financial data from borrow tax returns, CPA-prepared statements, interim balance sheets, and profit & loss statements.
• SBA 1502 Reporting & Compliance: Assists with the monthly preparation, balancing, and submission of the SBA Form 1502 report.
• Credit Underwriting Support: Assists senior team members in calculating and reviewing cash flow, DSCR, and net worth from PFS and tax documents.
• SBA Eligibility Verification: Reviews loan requests against SBA SOP to ensure eligibility and use of proceeds compliance.
• Credit Memo Preparation: Drafts preliminary sections of LAWs and credit memos summarizing strengths, risks, and mitigating factors.
• File Management & Compliance: Monitors underwriting documents and clears post-approval credit conditions for closing.
• Collaborative Support: Partners with Relationship Managers/Loan Officers to resolve data gaps and provide preliminary SBA loan structures.
• Supports overall team objectives by completing additional tasks as requested.
