Job summary

CACI’s Cybersecurity Division seeks a Junior Cyber Software Engineer to design, develop, and secure tactical cyber infrastructure for defense missions in the United States. You’ll apply Rust and memory‑safe languages to build secure software across embedded platforms, with collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s in a STEM field and 1–3 years of software development experience, plus an active DoD Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related STEM discipline.
• 1–3 years of professional software development experience, or equivalent military / co‑op experience.
• Strong understanding of Rust fundamentals (safe/unsafe Rust, ownership & borrowing rules, concurrency).
• Hands‑on experience or working familiarity with C, C++, or Go.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and secure next-generation tactical cyber infrastructure and defense solutions.
• Develop in Rust with modules in C, C++, or Go.
• Review, debug, and test software using automated pipelines to meet design requirements.
• Contribute to requirements analysis, architecture development, and DoD documentation.
