Job summary

PUMA North America, Inc. is seeking a driven footwear designer for an initial six-month, full-time on-site assignment in Somerville, MA.

You will support design across silhouettes, colorways, materials, and seasonal updates, creating sketches, renderings, and presentations to communicate concepts. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in footwear/product design.
• Passion for running and performance product innovation.
• Foundational understanding of footwear design principles, materials, and construction.
• Strong sketching, rendering, and visual communication demonstrated in portfolio.
• Proficiency in Illustrator and Photoshop; 3D design knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support design and development of performance running footwear across silhouettes, colorways, materials, and updates.
• Create sketches, renderings, color explorations, and presentations to communicate concepts.
• Translate seasonal design direction, consumer insights, and trends into footwear solutions.
• Research competitive running footwear landscape and emerging technologies.
• Collaborate with senior designers and cross-functional partners to execute concepts.
• Participate in sample reviews and revise details based on feedback.
• Prepare design files, color specs, material references, and presentations.
