Job summary

University of California, San Francisco is seeking a Junior or Assistant Specialist for the Cho/Cheng Lab in Dermatology. The role involves contributing to studies on single-cell RNA sequencing, spatial transcriptomics, and multiplexed immunofluorescence to improve precision medicine for inflammatory skin diseases.

The appointee will participate in high-level experiments, develop protocols, and contribute to publications while supporting lab operations and teamwork in a dynamic research

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of research experience for junior rank.
• Master's degree or bachelor's with 3+ years of research experience for assistant rank.
• 1.5-year commitment to working in the lab.
• Excellent organizational and written/oral communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail and accurate record keeping.
• Ability to work well independently and collaboratively with other lab members.
• Previous research experience of at least six months.
• Candidates must meet the required qualifications at the time of hire.
• CV and/or cover letter must state qualifications (or indicate pending status) upon submission.

Responsibilities

• Participate in and receive authorship of scientific articles and contribute to lab environment.
• Plan, conduct, and oversee experiments.
• Independently develop and optimize experimental protocols.
