Job summary

EDF power solutions North America is seeking an Associate Asset Manager to oversee the financial and operational performance of renewable assets across the region. This role focuses on budgeting, cash flow monitoring, and ensuring compliance with contracts and regulatory requirements.

You will collaborate with accounting, valuations, and analytics teams to optimize project performance, manage risk, and support wholesale electricity market participation.

Qualifications

  • Four-year degree and a minimum of 1-3 years of applicable working experience preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Understands the principles of sustainability and available renewable energy resources.
  • Able to identify renewable energy technologies and explain how an asset covers resource into MWh.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with data crunching and financial modeling experience being a bonus.
  • Previous accounting or finance training preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand contracts.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with enterprise data management tools (SAP) is a plus.
  • Above average skills with Excel, Tableau, Python, or similar.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Analysis & Support: Understand GAAP and IFRS accounting practices. Gather resources to support Asset Managers in annual budgets. Monitor cash flow and raise red flags for negative trends.
  • Performance Monitoring Support: Monitor project performance and identify improvement opportunities. Assist in business case preparations for performance improvements.
  • Contract & Regulatory Support: Know applicable contracts and permits and how they impact operations; assist with compliance tasks.
  • Operational Awareness: Understand availability calculations and maintenance activities; collaborate with Operations teams for performance solutions.
  • Stakeholder Management Support: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimize performance and compliance.
  • Other duties: Ad hoc analysis, research, initiatives, and presentations to support regional success.
