Job summary

Leidos Inc in Huntsville is seeking a Junior Radar Modeling Engineer to join a team delivering radar system models and software for EW and RF analyses. You will develop analytic and high-fidelity models, integrate into real-time simulations, and assess operator-in-the-loop effects on radar and missile systems, using C++, MATLAB/Python, and GUI tools.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field, 2 years of modeling experience, and an active SECRET clearance (US citizenship).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from ABET-accredited institution in EE/CE/SE/Math/Physics with 2 years modeling and simulation experience.
• Proficiency in C++ and OO programming; understanding of digital signal processing.
• Experience with modeling and simulation systems.
• Familiarity with MATLAB or Python.
• Active SECRET clearance (US Citizenship required).
• Resident of North Alabama or willing to relocate to Huntsville, AL.

Responsibilities

• Development of analytic to high-fidelity models of RF systems to support EW analysis.
• Development and integration into real-time and non-real-time simulation architectures.
• Assessing effects of operator-in-the-loop on radar and missile weapons system simulations.
• Development of threat models to match intelligence assessments, including waveform scheduling, correlation/tracking, signal processing, and closed-loop missile behavior.
• Simulation and GUI development in Windows and Linux.
• Testing, verification, and documentation of development and analysis efforts.
