Torch Technologies is seeking a Junior Radar Engineer to support the Tactical Missile Systems team on Redstone Arsenal. The role offers mentorship alongside a senior radar engineer, focusing on developing, integrating, and analyzing radar models and RF phenomenology.

The candidate should have a foundation in electromagnetic physics, strong programming skills in MATLAB, C++, and Python, and be ready to work in a collaborative environment on-site in Huntsville, AL.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related technical discipline.
• 3+ years of software development, modeling and simulation, radar systems, RF phenomenology, or data analysis.
• Experience with MATLAB, C++, Python, Fortran or other programming languages for solving mathematical problems, analyzing data, or modeling systems.

Responsibilities

• Integrate vendor RF software models into a common C++ simulation framework and scene generation environment.
• Develop and implement physics-based models for RF phenomenology (e.g., RCS, clutter, propagation, antenna patterns).
• Develop and execute MATLAB and Python analysis scripts to evaluate algorithms and radar system performance.
