Job summary

Old Mission Capital in Chicago seeks a Junior Quantitative Trader to operate during Asian market hours. You will work in a collaborative team to monitor systems, manage risk, price derivatives, and research new opportunities.

The role requires a quantitative degree, 2+ years trading experience, and proficiency in Python or C++ (plus other languages). Expect on-site work with a competitive base salary and discretionary bonus.

Qualifications

• Degree in a quantitative field such as computer science, engineering or hard sciences.
• Proficiency in at least one language: Python, C++, JAVA, VBA, R, Matlab or Ruby.
• 2+ years of trading experience.
• Experience with automated trading systems.
• High ethical standards and reliability.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving in high-pressure settings.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated, dependable and results driven.
• Interest in Asian market hours.

Responsibilities

• Monitor systems and manage trading activity Sunday–Thursday 4:00 pm–3:00 am CST.
• Oversee trade execution and risk of complex portfolios.
• Implement trading strategies leveraging technology to minimize costs.
• Research potential trading opportunities.
