Job summary

FPC (FORTUNE PERSONNEL CONSULTANTS - Orlando Office) in Central Indiana is hiring a junior Quality Engineer for an automotive manufacturer. You will sit with a Senior Quality Engineer and the Quality Manager and learn the job in the plant.

Responsibilities include APQP on new programs, reviewing first-article parts and data with Manufacturing Engineering, applying 8D and 5-Why, and contributing to IATF 16949 compliance while fixing issues on current production.

Qualifications

• Recent ME / MET / IE / IET grad with a real plant internship or co-op.
• 1–5 years as Quality Engineer, Junior QE, Manufacturing QE, Customer QE, or Launch QE
• Automotive plant time is a plus
• APQP, PPAP, quality paperwork, or basic quality stats is a plus
• You already live in or near central Indiana and are able to drive to interview.

Responsibilities

• Work APQP on new programs.
• Review first-article parts and quality data off new assembly lines with Manufacturing Engineering.
• Learn and use 8D and 5-Why when something goes wrong.
• Help put quality data together for customers.
• Work inside IATF 16949 — docs, audits, and day-to-day plant quality.
• Help fix quality issues on current production.
