Job summary

FORTUNE PERSONNEL CONSULTANTS - Orlando Office in Central Indiana is seeking a junior Quality Engineer for an automotive manufacturer. You will sit with a Senior Quality Engineer and the Quality Manager to learn the job in the plant, supporting APQP on new programs and review of first-article parts.

The role emphasizes applying 8D and 5-Why problem solving, gathering quality data for customers, and maintaining IATF 16949 documentation, audits, and day-to-day plant quality.

Qualifications

Recent ME / MET / IE / IET grad with a real plant internship or co-op.
Or 1–5 years as Quality Engineer, Junior QE, Manufacturing QE, Customer QE, or Launch QE.
Automotive plant experience is a plus.
APQP, PPAP, quality paperwork, or basic quality stats is a plus.
Must live in or near central Indiana and be able to drive to interview.

Responsibilities

Work APQP on new programs
Review first-article parts and quality data off new assembly lines with Manufacturing Engineering
Learn and use 8D and 5-Why when something goes wrong
Help put quality data together for customers
Work inside IATF 16949 — docs, audits, and day-to-day plant quality
Help fix quality issues on current production
