Job summary

Peraton is seeking a JR Software Quality Assurance Automation Engineer in the US (Colorado Springs, Arlington, or Seal Beach). You will design and maintain automated test suites, validate web interfaces and microservices, and contribute to testing practices for secure government systems.

Role involves learning testing frameworks, supporting CI/CD integration (Jenkins, GitLab CI), and working with Linux, databases, and cloud/containerized environments.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on software testing or automation in Agile environments.
• Experience creating/maintaining automated tests with Cypress and JS/TS.
• Foundational REST API testing and Linux experience.
• Familiarity with Jira, CI/CD tools, and relational databases.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and follow testing processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain automated test suites for web interfaces and APIs.
• Execute regression/functional tests and document defects in Jira.
• Prepare/test data in Postgres/MySQL for unit/integration testing.
• Assist with CI/CD integration (Jenkins, GitLab CI) and AWS/containerized environments.
• Collaborate with developers, system engineers, and testers to improve test coverage.
