Qualifications

• Knowledge of general accounting principles and practices.

Responsibilities

• Performs professional accounting duties in recording accounting transactions.
• Maintains and reconciles journals, ledgers, and other record books in accordance with standard procedures.
• Prepares periodic financial statements, reports, and tabulations.
• Conducts special studies of funds, revenues, expenditures, and related accounting activities as directed.
• Examines and reviews a variety of accounting transactions and documents for accuracy and propriety.
• Assists departmental and agency officials in the preparation and maintenance of accounting and fiscal documents in accordance with established procedures.
• Attends meetings.
• Prepares reports.
• Assists in data processing conversions and implementations.
