Job summary

Automation Movers International is seeking a Junior Proposal Engineer to support the development of manufacturing plans and proposal fabrication for automotive projects. The role requires collaboration with engineering teams and a solid understanding of welding and assembly processes.

You will interpret customer drawings and specifications, prepare layouts and process descriptions, and use Autocad, Word, Excel and PowerPoint to communicate solutions, while adhering to safety and quality

Qualifications

• Three (3) years related experience in automotive robotic welding systems processing and build environment.
• Interprets automotive product drawings and manufacturing specifications.
• Proficient in drafting with Autocad or equivalent tools.

Responsibilities

• Produces layouts, process descriptions, timing charts, sketches, graphs and weld studies for proposed processes.
• Maintains knowledge of PC based software such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint and applies drafting skills.
• Works with Engineering disciplines to verify viability of processes.
• Attends required meetings to present processes to management and customers.
• Adheres to safety and environmental regulations and quality systems.

Junior Proposal Engineer

The Processor evaluates customers products including specifications to develop manufacturing plans and produce the products according to the customer needs. This position requires extensive design & manufacturing expertise as well as an understanding of equipment cost for evaluation purposes.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Interprets automotive product drawings and manufacturing specifications.
• Understands ergonomic considerations for proposed processes.
• Produces layouts, process descriptions, timing charts, sketches, graphs, content sheets, weld studies and clamping plans for proposed processes either manually or in Autocad.
• Maintains knowledge of PC based software such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint and be able to apply good drafting and/or AUTOCAD skills.
• Works with all Engineering disciplines to verify the viability of processes.
• Attends all required meetings to obtain needed information and present processes to UTEC Management and customers.
• Exhibits excellent communications skills as well as maintain current technical knowledge.
• Understands and follows safety & environmental regulations and identifies safety/environmental concerns.
• Adheres to the Quality System and participate in continuous improvement.
• Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.
