Job summary

KIHOMAC, Inc. in Byron, Georgia invites motivated students to join our proposal development internship. You will proofread and edit proposals, responses to solicitations, and marketing materials while learning our standards and document-control practices.

You’ll work with proposal writers, subject matter experts, and BD staff, gaining exposure to the Government contracting process and the stages of proposal development. This paid internship is on-site at the Byron facility.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of written communication, grammar, punctuation, spelling, and document organization
• Strong attention to detail and written communication
• Basic knowledge of grammar, spelling, and professional writing conventions
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word; familiarity with Track Changes, comments, and document formatting

Responsibilities

• Proofread and copy edit proposals, responses to solicitations, presentations, marketing materials, and other business documents
• Review documents for grammar, spelling, punctuation, readability, formatting, and adherence to style guidelines
• Assist with formatting Microsoft Word and PowerPoint documents using templates and styles
• Maintain document version control and incorporate comments from multiple contributors
• Participate in proposal reviews and learn stages of Government contracting proposal development process
• Perform final quality-control reviews prior to submission or publication
• Collaborate with proposal writers, technical subject matter experts, and Business Development personnel
