Job summary

Busy Season Staffing Solutions is seeking a motivated Junior Project Manager to join our Technology Consulting practice. You will support planning, coordination, and delivery of IT and technology systems projects, including software implementations, infrastructure upgrades, system migrations, and digital transformations.

You will work alongside experienced consultants to develop project plans, track milestones, and prepare client-ready documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in project coordination, IT, or technology consulting.
• Basic understanding of Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, or hybrid PM methodologies.
• Familiarity with project management/tracking tools (Jira, MS Project, Trello, Asana, Smartsheet).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office / Google Workspace (Excel/Sheets, PowerPoint/Slides).
• Strong written and verbal communication; excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Project Managers in developing project plans, schedules, and budgets for IT/technology engagements.
• Track project milestones, deliverables, and timelines using project management tools (Jira, MS Project, Smartsheet, Asana).
• Coordinate communication between clients, internal technical teams, and third-party vendors.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including status reports, meeting minutes, RAID logs, and change requests.
• Support resource allocation and capacity planning across concurrent projects.
• Monitor project budgets and flag variances to senior stakeholders.
• Facilitate stand-ups, status meetings, and stakeholder check-ins.
• Identify project risks and elevate issues to senior management.
• Support QA and testing coordination during system implementations.
• Contribute to post-project reviews and lessons-learned documentation.
• Assist in developing client-facing presentations and deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Project Managers in developing project plans, schedules, and budgets for IT/technology engagements
• Track project milestones, deliverables, and timelines using project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project, Smartsheet, Asana)
• Coordinate communication between clients, internal technical teams, and third-party vendors
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including status reports, meeting minutes, RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies), and change requests
• Support resource allocation and capacity planning across concurrent projects
• Monitor project budgets and flag variances to senior stakeholders
• Facilitate stand-ups, status meetings, and stakeholder check-ins
• Identify project risks and elevate issues to senior project management staff in a timely manner
• Support quality assurance and testing coordination during system implementations

Required Qualifications

• Basic understanding of project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, or hybrid approaches)
