Job summary

Remedy Medical Properties, Inc. in Chicago, IL seeks a Junior Project Manager to join the Asset Management, Capital & TI Projects team. You will drive capital expenditures and tenant improvement projects nationwide with exposure to all lifecycle stages.

You will coordinate schedules and budgets, onboard project teams, track documents and closeouts, attend meetings, and maintain strong client relationships with focus on detail and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in real estate, construction, architecture or project management (internships or co-ops count).
• Exposure to Tenant Improvement or commercial construction projects preferred.
• Basic understanding of construction budgets, schedules and pay applications, or a strong interest in learning them.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to manage several tasks and deadlines at once.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint; MS Project or similar PM software a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support Leasing and Asset Management teams in preparing space plans, project schedules and budgets.
• Assist with selection and onboarding of project teams, including Architects, Engineers, Consultants and Contractors.
• Prepare and track consultant and contractor agreements, proposals and change orders.
• Oversee the design process from test-fit through construction documents and track deliverables.
• Manage day-to-day work on construction projects, including RFIs, submittals, punch lists and closeout.
• Attend Owner/Contractor/Architect meetings and prepare minutes and action-item logs.
• Maintain and update project budgets, schedules and tracking reports.
• Support monthly drawing process by gathering pay apps, lien waivers and backups.
• Keep project files and software platforms organized and up to date.
• Build relationships with clients, consultants and internal teams.
• Report to the EVP | Capital and Tenant Improvement Projects.
