Position Summary: As a Junior Project Manager at Daedalus Industrial, you will assist in planning, executing, and closing projects. You will work closely with senior project managers and team members to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Under the supervision of the Project Manager, responsibilities will include:
- Project Planning and Coordination:
- Assist in defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with senior project managers and stakeholders.
- Develop detailed project plans, budgets, schedules, and milestone timelines.
- Coordinate and communicate with internal project teams to ensure alignment on project goals and responsibilities.
- Execution and Monitoring:
- Monitor project progress, track milestones and budget, and ensure adherence to timelines.
- Identify and address project risks and issues, escalating to senior management as necessary.
- Maintain project documentation, including meeting minutes, status reports, and project plans and schedules.
- Change Management:
- Monitor project progress for internally recommended and externally requested Engineering Change Orders.
- Validate potential Change Orders against original scope.
- Prepare Change Order financial and timeline impacts, and deliver to customer.
- Track Change Order POs and PO edits.
- Budget Management:
- Assist in preparing project budgets and track expenses, monitor budget in company ERP.
- Monitor project costs and expenditures, ensuring adherence to budget constraints in company ERP.
- Provide regular financial reports and updates on projects to project team.
- Communication and Reporting:
- Facilitate effective communication among project team members, stakeholders, and clients.
- Prepare and deliver project status reports, presentations, and updates to stakeholders.
- Ensure all project documentation is accurate, complete, and up-to-date.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations.
- Conduct regular reviews and assessments to ensure project objectives are being met.
- Implement best practices and methodologies to improve project outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in project management or a related role.
- Knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, and tools.
- Proficiency in project management software & Microsoft Office (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, Trello, Primavera).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus (Completed or in progress).
