Job summary

Zachry Engineering Corporation (ZEC) in Downers Grove, IL is seeking an early career Engineer of Projects. The ideal candidate has at least two years of engineering or project management experience with projects spanning design through startup and construction.

You will support planning, coordination, and execution, with responsibilities including design coordination across departments, review of drawings, and monitoring performance using earned value tracking. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• At least two years of engineering or project management experience on projects from design through startup and construction.
• Strong communication and inter-personal skills for cross-discipline coordination.
• Must be organized, self-directed, able to multi-task and prioritize.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Engineer in planning, organizing, and controlling assigned aspects of a project.
• Coordinate design engineering activities with multiple departments.
• Review drawings for scope consistency and address inputs from disciplines.
• Coordinate engineering efforts with overseas and domestic offices.
• Monitor project performance using earned value tracking and progress reporting.
• Maintain project communications and timely reporting.
