Our client is a mid-sized Commercial General Contractor seeking a Project Engineer in Atlanta. This entry-level role offers mentorship, hands-on experience, and long-term growth within the company.

Responsibilities include supporting Project Managers, handling RFIs/submittals, reviewing shop drawings, processing change orders, and maintaining project records with Procore. Strong reading of plans and excellent communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent construction experience).
• Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
• Experience with Procore is highly preferred.
• Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications.
• Basic knowledge of RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and change orders.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers with the day-to-day administration of commercial construction projects.
• Manage and track RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.
• Review and distribute shop drawings for approval.
• Help prepare and process change orders.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Maintain accurate project records using Procore.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, architects, and project teams.
• Ensure project documents are organized and up to date.
• Support project scheduling and closeout activities.
