Job summary

Skender Group Llc is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer to join our Operations team in Chicago. You’ll assist in administration, documentation, and organization of the Operations Department under the Project Manager.

Qualifications

• We’d like you to have a four-year bachelor’s degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and 1-2 years’ experience in a construction-related field.
• Strong communication and organization skills.
• Understanding of contract language as it pertains to construction activities and planning.

Responsibilities

• Examine contract documents for submittal requirements and scope gaps.
• Review shop drawings for compliance with contract documents and coordination.
• Prepare and distribute document control items (submittals, RFIs, drawings, minutes).
• Submit shop drawings and materials for approval and coordinate distribution to avoid delays.
• Support phase schedules and provide weekly project schedule updates.
• Identify changes that may affect cost or time and document changes.
• Assist in scope development, subcontractor bid review and award.
