Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Entry Project Controls Specialist to join our Project Controls Team. The role supports planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting and project performance alongside project managers and teams.

The ideal candidate has an entry level understanding of project management methodologies, strong communication skills, and familiarity with Primavera and EcoSys tools. This position is hybrid with travel up to 10% and offers growth within a global engineering firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Entry level knowledge of project management methodology.
• Ability to work in fast paced environments with shifting priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with Primavera and EcoSys tools.
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Supports compliance with internal procedures and gathers project progress data to update budgets, schedules, and forecasts.
• Under supervision, develops, maintains and analyzes integrated schedules for portions of projects and evaluates early warning signals.
• Generates and analyzes earned value reports and drafts client/internal status updates on cost and schedule trends.
• Uses document management protocols to store and retrieve project docs.
• Performs other duties as required.
